What time is check-in and checkout?
Check in is at 2pm while checkout is at 11am. Late checkout is available, at a charge. Please contact Reception for details.
How easy is it to travel around Malta from the Ambassador Hotel?
The Ambassador Hotel is situated in Xemxija, in the north of the island. The closest bus stop is five minutes’ walk away and from there regular connections to the other parts of the island are available.
What language is spoken in Malta?
Malta’s official languages are Maltese and English; English is especially well spoken in tourist regions and the majority of signage, documentation and information is provided in English. Italian is also widely spoken.
What currency is used in Malta?
Malta joined the EU in 2004 and the Eurozone in 2008. The Euro is therefore the official currency, used across the islands.
Does the Hotel cater for special dietary needs?

Which credit cards are accepted by the Hotel?
Ambassador Hotel accepts all major credit cards, including VISA and Mastercard.
Is the hotel wheelchair friendly?
The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps or a lift to all areas. It is important to advise the hotel before your arrival if you will need to make use of these features.
Can I rent a car?
Yes, as long as you hold a valid Driver’s Licence and can produce another form of identity. Driving in Malta is on the left. Please contact the Reception Desk for more information about special offers on car hire.
Will I have access to medical care if I need it?
Malta enjoys world-class medical care, which is free to EU citizens (providing they have a European Health Insurance Card). A doctor is on-call 24-hours a day.
What is the electrical supply and socket type used in Malta?
The electrical supply is 240 volts, single phase, 50 cycles. The 13 amps, three-pin rectangular sockets are used.
